Ironic we all have the same case number.

My elderly mother got a threatening computer-generated voicemail from an "attorney" at this number that an IRS criminal investigation against her was underway. Yeah, right. I happen to work in a law office that handles IRS appeals. I called the number back from my office landline, could not understand a word this man said. I asked him to speak slowly and clearly. He said this is the Internal Revenue Service. Really? I asked. Yes, he said. What is your badge number? I asked. He gave me "GA9220" which is NOT a valid badge number for agents. LOL!!! I said, okay, Mr. GA9220, hold on while I get the IRS on the line to verify your identity. He hung up. Gee. So then I immediately tried calling him back -- I mean, we did get disconnected somehow -- and guess what? The number will not even connect! So then I used my Sideline cell number (the single greatest app for phones!!!) and got a female non-English speaking agent. We went through the same dance, speak slowly and clearly, etc. When I finally understood the "IRS" part, I asked for her badge number. She gave me "F--- you" and again I was somehow disconnected! I just don't understand...here I am trying to give the IRS the money that it wants for this undoubtedly very legitimate debt, and I keep getting disconnected... LOL!!! What losers!!!!! I told my mother of my calls, we had a good laugh.

I keep receiving a call from 2027549727 that claim this is the IRS and he is an Officer #CF2087 or #CS2087 with the IRS planning to file a law suit & your case #CF93271. He claims he's calling from Washington DC. I questioned him and told him that this is a fraudulent call and that I will report this call. He began to say if you think that then we can just hang up so I did. I tried to recall the number but it won't go through, which all the more confirmed that it was an illegal phone call.
