A scam

Called today. Said my name and physical address is under federal investigation and to call back immediately. Based upon the comments on this page and the number they originally called from (202-622-5000), I'm staying away. I've never had tax issues in my life nor do I live a life where I would be under federal investigation. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!

the same number called me as well. told me to call 202 800 5609. once I heard the foreign accent it was a dead give away. plus I knew I had no troubles with the irs since I had just got off the phone with them 3 hours before hand.

I received a telephone call from (202) 622-5000 and the recording left a voice message that I contact (202) 800-5609 because my address was under a federal investigation. I contacted (202) 800-5609 and spoke with a foreign man and he indicated that an audit was done and I defrauded the IRS for tax years 2008-2014, and he would be filing a federal lawsuit and contacting the local police department for my arrest.

Claimed I had IRS law suit
