Yes, they called me too.

This is definitely a scam. I called them back and she just answered "Hello, IRS". you can never get someone on the phone THAT quickly who actually works at the IRS.

I got the same call this morning. I called from a landline and the person did not speak very good English, she asked for my number and when I said no, she hung up! TOTAL SCAM!!

202-820-1272. Caller ID stated from Washington DC. Left automated voicemail stating final notice of pending lawsuit from IRS and to call back company phone number and repeated caller phone number above. Called on 12/15/15 at 11:06 am.

Same story as above. Around 11 am today. Had me uneasy for a couple minutes. SOBs. Isn't it kind of a big deal legally to falsely pose as IRS...?

Crooks--do NOT call these SPAMMERS back! Robocall first rec'd on landline on 12/4/15 from (646) 593-7695 from "David Gray" claiming to be a U.S. IRS representative (yet he had a strong British accent!). Claimed I owed past due taxes to the gov't and ignoring the call would lead to an appearance before a "magistrate" or arrest and jail time. Said to call (646) 593-7695 immediately so that "they could help me." Information was recorded and repeated twice before robo hangup. I ignored this call as the IRS does not operate like this and I have no past due taxes. Again, on 12/15/15 @ 9:33 a.m., I received another recorded message (female voice, "American") saying it was "officially" a "final notice" from the IRS to pay up--it was picked up by answering machine, and I cut the call off. The number it was rec'd from was (202) 820-1272. These are criminals! Do YOUR part and REPORT these scumbags to The Treasury Inspector General (www.tigta.gov) and to the FTC using their "FTC Complaint Assistant" at FTC.gov.

They called me at 0952 today, 12-15-15. Unknown Name was displayed on my caller ID. They left message stating it was IRS filing a lawsuit and to call their 2028201272 number.

12/14/15 message left stating "this is the IRS, you're being sued by the Internal Revenue Service and to please call 202-820-1272". They left no name, first call or notice ever and when tried to return the call, the recording says "all circuits are busy please try ur call again later". The IRS would answer lol!! Definitely a scam just wish I was home to receive initial call:(

Called saying they were the IRS with a final notice and an impending law suit but never stated who the call was for.

They called and left a message saying this was the final warning from the IRS to pay what I owe. Funny thing is they don't say who they are calling for and I'm disabled and haven't worked in almost 2 years!! I also didn't receive a first warning!!

I received a call saying I have a warrant out for my arrest from the IRS for tax fraud. They said I owe them $5921 for miscalculations, they had my wrong address that they were sending me letters about an audit. That's what tipped me off that it was fraud.
