They called me too, and left my case number and wished me good luck also if I did not call them back. When I called him back an Indian guy told me that he was from the US treasury and then he threatened to have the local sheriffs department come and arrest me because I did not sound very interested in the conversation. I then asked him why I got the message and maybe they had the wrong person and he hung up on me

9 June 2016: They called me, Indian accented English, very good grammar. It is a scam claiming to be from the US Department of Treasury. When I asked the supervisor, "Mr. Peterson", why he was calling me, he went silent for 5 seconds then replied "screwing your wife". I called back and threatened them- it was a fun 2 minute break, now back to real life.....

06/09/16 REC'D CALL 10:30 AM PACIFIC TIME. SINCE I WAS AT WORK I LET IT GO TO VOICEMAIL. AS SOON AS I HEARD ABOUT LAST CHANCE WITH MAGISTRATE AND GRAND JURY I KNEW IT WAS A SCAM SINCE I HAVE COMMITTED NO CRIME.

total IRS scam. If you want a good laugh, call them back and play along with them - they really get into it with all kinds of lies. then at the end, fart in their ear.

they pretended to be government official in bad indian accents. their english was poor. i gave them fake name, and they looked up my file and "found" it. they said I owed lots of back taxes (lie). i said i would pay the back taxes, and I heard some finger snapping in the background like they felt they had landed a fool. they then transferred me to another indian dude who was purportedly a supervisor. When I finally got to the "supervisor," I told them Donald Trump would build a virtual wall between here and India, i farted in the phone, and hung up.

total scam; i played along like i was scared. when i said the IRS didn't call people, they said they were part of the treasury dept.

they said the court would generate a subpoena and arrest warrant and a sheriff would be at my door in 30 minutes. such a fake crock.

Just received the call too, said they are United States Treasury, gave me my case number, wished me good luck if I don't return their call, when I called it back, guy with accent answered and hung up on me after I asked who he was.

Made the mistake of calling back, definitely a scam, said they'd send government agents to wherever I was within 30 mins.

IRS scam call. Informing they were going to prosecute. And wished me good luck. If I did not return call. Somehow the everycall did not show as a recent call, nor did my samsung call log.
