Why the government don't arrest these people using their name to scam citizen of US.

they called my cell phone; i didn't answer. they left a voicemail message. my husband and i have been receiving similar phone calls from different numbers all with similar stories. i've blocked at least three numbers already. i'm wondering who sold them mine and my husband's cell phone numbers.

I got a call from this number this morning and a man with an Indian (or similar) accent said there was a problem with my tax return and I should call him back at the same number (202) 864-1676. It was a recording, so I just hung up. If it was a real person, I would have stayed on the line a while to try and fool him into something like asking to speak to his supervisor.

They called my wife, freaked her out, threatened to have "911" come arrest her, and even went as far as to have "911" call her twice while she was speaking to them. She called me and told me about it. I called them back and they got hostile with me. They knew her name, address, and that she was a student. Please do not pay these people. You should probably just block this number right now since it looks like their activity is rising.

The caller claimed to be with the IRS. I am a college aged student and they informed me that I had a claim against my identity and there was an issue with my school tax. They knew what college I attended as well. I was transferred to an "officer" who was in charge of my case.

These guys have been calling my college aged daughter and stating that they are with the IRS. Their story is that there has been an illegal claim made against her identity and that she must contact them to get it cleared up. I just tried to call them back and there was no answer or voicemail. Will block this number. Thanks

These people even went so far as to tell me to get in my car and drive and then they would tell me where to go. This is not just a scam, this is a very dangerous thing and everyone should be alerted to this.

Left a VM saying they are the IRS and they have evidence of criminal tax evasion activity. The man spoke English well but had an Indian accent. I knew it was phoney for several reasons like the name and number I file taxes under was in no way associated with how they were tying to contact me. Left a message that I must call them immediately. Yeah right.

Bastards! SO obvious that this is a scam. They prey on the young, old and naive. I tried calling them back, but they hang up as soon as I tell them the call is being recorded.

They called me and threatened to have me arrested if I didn't pay them the amount that they wanted.

They called me twice and left a message pretending to be the IRS
