They call from all different numbers and will not stop.
I received this same call. And I not even a student or have student loans.
I received a voicemail from this number stating:
"Hi this is Jenifer agent ID 2578 it looks like your student loan has been applied eligible for the recent stimulus forgiveness and relief legislation. However your application does need to be completed, this applies to all statuses including those in garnishment. If you could please give your dedicated eligibility line a call at 202-960-4700 we can have that applied immediately. Keep in mind these benefits are offered on a first come first serve basis now. Please make sure to call immediately, your personal validation code of ###### will be needed. We hope this helps and hope you have a great day."
2 big red flags that tell me this is a scam:
1. this has already been reported by someone else back in august as receiving the same type of call yet, this number claims to have been my "dedicated eligibility line".
2. A "time crunch" indication has been pressured for me to call back.
Yeah.... I'll pass : )
