Got an automated call from this number a few days ago and they told me it was something about a delinquent financial situation and press one. I did, and some man picked up. He continued to tell me that I wrote a check 20- 25 years ago in Florida for $11 to a Winn-Dixie that was bounced. He wanted me to pay bounced check fees, a service fee and the amount of the check. Totaling over $200. I could hear a bunch of men in the background sounded like they were wrestling and laughing or something. Anyway, I told this guy I didnt know who he was I was not going to pay anything over the phone with my debit card. He told me I can go online and pay it. I said I did not owe him any money. And laughed. He got belligerent and yelled. I hung up.
The statue limitations for anything under $150 in Florida is two years. This is a SCAM. Do not press one! I blocked this number.

They called me today

gave no name, a robo call, stating something about a matter regarding my financial institution and to press 1 to speak to someone. I have been getting calls from this party for over a year now from many different numbers. This message has been changed from the past messages. I suppose someone has warned them about their verbage.

Scammers. Not particularly intelligent scammers at that

Same number called I answered they said it was an urgent matter concerning the safety of my banking institution. BS My bank will call me directly if there is an issue and I will know the person calling.

I have been receiving calls from this number and a few others around the country stating they are Data Check of America and that they are trying to collect for a NSF check from 2001. Come on now... this time is well past the statute of limitation (did my homework) and there is a fraud/scam alert for this company on the BBB website. I called my bank to verify if these people could in fact contact them to close my accounts and whatnot. Well, the bank even said it was a scam, which I had already suspected. Don't talk to these people!

FRAUD ALERT. Also goes by the name Data Check of America. They come at you about a debt that you supposedly had over 10 years ago and offer for you to pay half of the supposed debt. They will use different numbers from many different states. Do your research before you do anything!!!!!

Who do these thieving jerks think they are?
I have family in upper Alabama and when i got a call from an unknown number in Alabama i thought it might be one of my two aunts calling to tell me that she had got a new cell number. [That happened last year, so I answered. I wish i hadn't.]

I've received these same calls indicating a return check from 1999 for a Winn Dixie. When they were a scam, lady called me a smarty pants and hung up in my face. No ignore calls if you receive one.

Received call from above number, they had much of my personal info used to verify accounts, said I had a bounced check from 1999, informed me they would go to my current bank to collect against my account. I don't remember any bad checks 17 years ago and the company would have been able to seek me out at that time as I lived at the same address printed on my checks.... for some times after I had closed that account that check was written on. Florida's statute of limitations on bounced checks is 5 years so this is most assuredly a scam! Don't do what I did and answer in the affirmative when verifying your information, not sure how they got it, but they had it..

I happen to answer one of their calls and an automated voice said the call was regarding a returned check and to press 1 for more information. I hung up and called my bank right away and I didn't have anything returned. Received numerous calls again but they never left a voice mail.

Calls cell and leaves no message if not answered. Repeated calls no message.
