Called my grandmother claiming she was under investigation by the IRS. Scam!

Lady said her name was Kelly Wilson irs and gave a badge number. Then proceeded to say I was needing to pay 7900. The conversation with this person upset me so bad I almost had a heart attack. I called my CPA and then found this when I Google their number.

I got an identical call and agree with the previous comments. This is not the way the IRS operates.

Left message claiming they were the Internal Revenue Services & are filing a lawsuit against me. For more info. about this case, I need to call their departmental phone # 206-201-2074. This is a complete scam. The IRS isn't going to leave a completely generic message like that, they would most likely send anything by mail in writing & if they ever left any sort of phone message, they would give you a specific name & phone # of who to contact within the organization.

Do not answer. Left message they are the IRS and are filing a lawsuit against me. IRS office does NOT call. They send everything by mail. I've seen on TV where this scam has ripped over many in the Nashville, TN area and to report them. Scammers getting millions of dollars!
