Just received the call on my office number. From~ 206-204-5051
Stating It was my final notice and the IRS was filing a law suit against me (recorded message). I did not call back. Ten minutes later they called my personal land line. I did not answer that.

Same thing. Interestingly enough though this is the second time they've called, different numbers, but BOTH area codes were from places I have either called or have a contacted saved on this phone. It would be interesting to see if others have seen this, because it could indicate that they have accurate phone records and/or can see my contacts.

Total IRS SCAM! I called back after getting a VM that said the IRS was going to sue me..... the woman who could hardly speak English said I owe $5000 in taxes because of a mistake made on a prior year.... Too bad for her she could not answer my questions, she did not know my new last name or current address WHICH the IRS does! I ripped her a new one and called her a scammer and said I would be reporting this number.

Here’s what happens: You get a call from a scammer pretending to be with the IRS, saying you’ll be arrested if you don’t pay taxes you owe right now. You’re told to wire it or put it on a prepaid debit card. They might threaten to deport you or say you’ll lose your driver’s license. Some even know your Social Security number, and they fake caller ID so you think it really is the IRS calling.

But it’s all a lie. If you send the money, it’s gone.

I received this same call they are def a scammer. Had a good time telling them that there all over the web listed as Scum !!! "They hung up"

When this number called, they left me a message (I do not answer unknown numbers; if it important they will leave a message). I called them back regarding their message; and would not give them any more information about myself, and yet when I asked about them, the nature of their call, and if they were in fact the IRS; they hung up on me.

I felt it was a scam on the onset; as I know I owe no taxes; and would never give any information over the phone, regardless; but to get hung up on, and then when I have tried to repeatedly call back, it seems my number is blocked...hmmm..curious, I'd say.

Yes; and when I called back (knowing is was a scam); they would not give me any information, and when directly asked if they where the IRS, they hung up on me...and now it seems, they have blocked my call.
It's interesting that they want information form you, ut wil provide nonw to you....certainly a scam.

I got a call claiming to be from the IRS too. Same deal as the others. They are suing me even though I got no letter, and the call originated in Seattle.

I just got same call telling me last call to advise me of a lawsuit. clearly a scam. People are in a busy room probably in India or somewhere like that by the accent. Be careful. Go to IRS Website, the posted several articules on this scam

Same story as the other 1/11/2016 reports. Recorded message saying this was my final notice that the IRS is sewing me and I should call back immediately.

Robot caller said the is last notice about lawsuit from the IRS. Asked me to call back to talk about it. This is a scammed that has been reported on other sites also.

Seattle, WAbove! First of all, your initial contact from the IRS won't be harassing you with a lawsuit. Second of all the IRS would never make this type of recording or a phone call from Seattle Washington! It's a scam! I've received these calls two years ago from a foreigner! He referred to himself as an IRS officer, mistake number one! They are agents, not officers! They're also idiots as well as scammers! Hang up and report to the real IRS! I hope they get caught

I just got a call from 206 204 5051 recorded message saying this was my final notice that the IRS is sewing me and I should call back immediately, I sincerely doubt that this is true-they have my address and im sure I would have received a letter if this is true - plus they have no reason the sew me, I payed my taxes, I don't own a business - DO NOT CALL this number back I am sure they will try to black mail you.
