Called and scared the crap out of my wife about IRS saying we owed 4,000 dollars. Thankfully she called me and i told her to hang up before any financial stuff was exchanged. Filed with our state treasury complaint office and FTC.gov. They threatened to call the cops on her if she hung up, then continued to call for hours after she did hang up because I assume they thought they had her, and probably would have had I not intervened.

BAH HA HA HA!!!!!! I just received this call. I have no tax issues, and I am a law enforcement officer. If I don't respond within 24 hours I will have the local "cops" (not law enforcement agency) come and arrest me. Oh! No!!! :-O

Seriously, if anybody fell for this scam I would be surprised.

I missed 6 calls from this number and called back they said they were criminal division in an India voice w tons of call center background noise. I hung up, but these people are definitely not IRS criminal enforcement. I hope no one falls for this.

Same thing as everyone else, claiming to be IRS and I will be taken by the "local cops" if I do not respond. I did also get the exact same message from this number as well on the same day 347 394 1564

Get these calls too. No such thing as being arrested w/o due course, especially when have done nothing wrong. I usually pretend to be scared and go along with them; just when the think I am going to comply, I offer to send them dick cheese and say I dare you! Come Arrest me! I spit on your organization!

I just got this EXACT same call on my cell phone while at work. It said four arrests and taken by local cops with serious allegations on me. I have never been in any trouble EVER in my life so this is a total SCAM. I blocked the number.

I did a google search and it said go to https://www.irs.gov/uac/report-phishing

Notes from that page are below:
You receive a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS but you suspect they are not an IRS employee ...
Record the employee's name, badge number, call back number and caller ID if available.
Call 1-800-366-4484 to determine if the caller is an IRS employee with a legitimate need to contact you.
If the person calling you is an IRS employee, call them back.

If not, report the incident to TIGTA and to us at phishing@irs.gov (Subject: 'IRS Phone Scam')

I AM EMAILING THE IRS NOW AND HOPE ALL OF YOU DO AS WELL. I WOULDN'T WANT SOMEONE TO SEND THESE SCAMMERS MONEY

Just got the same call. Arrest in 24 hours. 4 allegations. Heavy accent with poor grammar. Wish they would stop calling but they do crack me up!! 206-209-1603

IRS Sacm Call- Threatens arrest if you dont pay within 24 hours.
1. IRS will never call you directly with a robo call
2. They will always send a letter first
3. IRS will give you proof that the are legit when you call them, so I imagine if they where to call you they would give the same proof.

This just happened to me right now as well from the following number based in Seattle WA: (206) 209-1603 claiming I had 4 serious charges against me and that I would be taken into custody by local law enforcement.

Me, too! Exactly 4 serious charges against me! and that I would be fired and the local cops would take me into custody!

One time the same type of call came in from Washington and I answered because my BF is from there. It was an Asian sounding lady with the tv on and a dog barking in the background saying she was the IRS.........
