I to got the same call. I knew the gov. would not do things that way. If they were giving you money they would send you a check with a letter explaining it. Good scam though

Received the same phone call and decided to research the phone # and from reading the above comments, I too, suspected it was a scam.

I also just received a call from an Indian guy, telling me I had been selected for government grant and gave me a number to call 206 317 1748, having lived in Seattle I knew it was a seattle number. There were also two codes given. Naturally I did not call the phone, I checked online to see if my thoughts were confirmed. Yep just a scam.

Received 2 calls, first from 206-621-0020, stating he was the US Government, and that I won a grant for $8000.00. I was told to call another number 206-317-1748 and was given 2 different code numbers. When I called I talked to Katherine Allen. She told me that I needed to get a green dot money pack card and put $200.00 on it. Then once I did that I was to call er back with the numbers on the card and she will load the $8000.00 from the US Treasury Dept. She proceeded to tell me that I was to stay on the phone with her through the whole transaction when buying the card. I then told her to try a scam someone else and get a job.

It's a Scam stay away!
