It said something about crime in my area going up and that they wanted to provide a free security system to us.

they're calling for a home security company
It could be an inside call to see if you are home from GE home security themseves checking to see if customeris home...that is what I was told...if you don't pick up they think you are not home if your aarm is not armed so just shoot and ask questions later. they dont' know who they are messing with! They hang up when I pick up and wait a few seconds very annoying. I was warned by my alarm company about another aarm company robbing people saying that our ge alarm was inproperly installed so if they rob people this makes sense. My alarm is disarmed since I have 3 different alarm companies and many other montoring systems plus a locked gun rack and other so won't they be surprised a mid mannered lady has not the occupation they assume
