Technical support for my PC Windows computer. I have a MAC computer and do not have any PC's with Windows in my home.
This number has been previously reported recently on 2-3 occasions as a "dead air" call. The area code shows a Seattle WA number, calling to provide PC support in FL - don't know how they intend to work that??

A large number of people including myself have been receiving calls from the 206-456-0661. The person calling claims they are with Microsoft and need to fix errors on you computer. They will try to get personal information out of you as well as open ports on your computer and router and download software. The callers have a heavy accent and are from Pakistan or India. The number they are calling from is show as being owned by International Telcom Ltd. This scam seems to have kicked off the beginning of this year. Some people have received multiple calls while I have only received one. The amount of complaints on the web indicate this is a growing problem and it seems that this phone number not the only number that has multiple complaints against it. I spoke with Jody Kunz from International Telecom Ltd who stated that that number was no longer theirs since Februrary and that this number and others he has used is being "spoofed". Same as anonymous on Feb 23 yesterday and I entered this number on the National Do Not Call Registry. He said he was Adam Smith and I could call him back and that he was in VIRGINIA. He called again today and I told him I looked the phone number up on the internet and he was all over the place being reported as a scam. Told him do not call me back. Do you understand? He kept saying no. I want to know how to get rid of this guy.

I knew this was a solicitation call, and I asked him to put me on their do not call list. He claimed to be calling from Microsoft Corporation. He told me thatI needed to listen to him because my Microsoft License had expired, and that they had received error messages from my computer. He told me if I didn't renew my Microsoft License that my computer was going to crash. He informed me that it would cost $100.00 to renew my Microsoft License. I refused letting him know that I was a single disabled mother, and that I didn't have that kind of money. He then offered it to me for $50.00. I again told him that I didn't have that kind of money. He pretended to start giving me the information for free and the call was disconnected on his end of the line.
