Until you give up your social security number you can't get past the caller to get any information from them. Hanging up is an option but forget about blocking the call, the number that shows up is usually a front, not a true number. Forget also about reporting them as you don't know who the company is you want to report. In the past 2 weeks I have received the same type of call with the caller ID showing the call to come from Colorado, California, quite a few from Washington state, and a lot of ficticious cell numbers from all around the states. I too have asked to be removed - nope, calls continue. I even received one and found out it had originated in India, made the guy cry after telling him the State Attorney General's in 4 states were looking for them for breaking the federal Do Not Call rules, he asked if he could be in trouble, I told him he'd have to run that by his employers. Funny how his American accent changed to his native accent. These calls say they are from Credit Card Services - no such company to be found. This last one, if called back, said it was from the Community Entity Org - gee surprise they don't exist either! I'm filing a complaint with the phone company, Pacifictel to see if they will do anything..

I have received several calls from this number at Pacifctel advertising about Credit Cards. I have repeatably asked for the removal of my number, but they continue. They tell me there is no problem with the account (which one, they don't say) but assure me they can save me money..
