Our business received a pre-recorded message from these butt-wipes this morning. Caller ID said "Washington." (Yeah, right.) The message, which was not in compliance with FCC requirements, went on and on about how they've been trying to contact the business owner because our Google Plus business listing has remained unclaimed and so on and so forth. I finally got to the part where it said "Press 2 to be removed from this list." I pressed 2 fast and hard, though I know it won't do any good with these scammers. (Hanging up doesn't seem to do any good either. Next time, I'll blow my ear-piercing emergency whistle into the phone. At least I'll get some satisfaction.)

The call attempted to sell the google plus domain name for my "business". I have no business of any kind as I am a soldier in the US Army. After a brief message, the option to dial 1 to speak to live representative was given. Upon dialing 1, I was disconnected. I called the number back, and was connected to a service for people who owe back taxes.

claim to be google plus business, a recorded message says to claim your google plus address, hit one and be connected to specialist. Staying on line for a few extra seconds and not hitting any keys causes the line to disconnect
