They have been calling me daily for weeks and never leave a message. Now I see it's the Seattle Times. I signed up for one dollar. The guy said he just needed subscribers, since the majority of their money comes from advertising...and advertisers need subscribers. I never got a single paper, so I forgot all about it. Then I get a letter saying I owe 14 dollars. I already called them to cancel everything but still get these calls. I know it's a shame that somewhat reliable journalism is endangered, but that doesn't mean that they should be so disorganized or maybe they're tying to fool people; who knows...
Same story different day. I finally called the number back after 5 or 6 calls with no messages. They answered with a recording saying it was either marketing or a problem with the bill processing. The human I spoke with said that he was not allowed to leave a message because of privacy laws? What the monkey?!! They have my eMail and snail mail. So send a letter or a note. Or Stop Delivery Of The Paper. And what do privacy laws have to do with anything? It's a cell number no one else will get the message that says "This is the Seattle Times please call our business office at the following number,"
If you call my phone Leave A Message!
Calls daily now for 4 weeks. Signed up and cancelled services over 5 years ago. Have asked to be removed twice yet still calling years after.
They call and don't leave messages. I signed up to get a $2.00 subscription from some guy at Fred Meyer, but then he charged my card $25. When he gave me the receipt to sign, I was in a hurry (shopping, you know) so I was like, fine, I'll cancel this crap. Nice snakey marketing. It doesn't reflect poorly on the seattle times, just on the ass who used shady, deceptive marketing tactics to try and bait and switch me. Look at this awesome low intro price, just kidding, it's $25, oh and by the way, youre going to get charged again in a month. I emailed Seattle Times and they refunded my money, but now they won't stop calling me. If it's not worth their time to leave me a message, then it's not worth my time to call them back and wait in a queue.
Seattle Times subsidiary for account followups. Calls daily starting at 8am, never leaves a message, calling back puts you into a hold queue to talk to someone you didn't answer the phone for in the first place.
