Same guy called me. thick indian accent, I started acting dumb, and asked where he was calling from. He said US. Whe I asked where, he panicked and gave me his supervisor, who was also indian. He told me he was calling from New York. When I told him that someone from "Microsoft Headquarters" had called me last week from CALIFORNIA, he started bumbling. When I told him that Microsoft Headquarters was actually in Redmond, Washington (I have a friend who works there) he said everyone has a friend there. he then called me an effing idiot. Obviously its a scam, as Ai'm sure Microsoft wouldn't call their customers "an effing idiot! ( i'm still wondering how he got my unlisted home phone number though!)
Indian guy called trying to gain access...Told him to Take his SCAM elsewhere.
Yet another scammer trying to gain access to your PC by having you visit a website that lets him control your PC remotely. Just mess with him until he gives up. Act friendly, but say, "Oh, my PC just froze up again. It does this all the time. I'm sure glad you called. It will just take a few minutes to reboot."
Someone called me telling me my he is calling from Windows and that my computer was downloading malicious software and needs me to get into my computer. I told asked him what was his name and when he speaks he yells. I told him why are you yelling and how did you get my number. I told him he don't have access to see anything from my computer and I am not stupid, that he just wants to get my personal information to cause a scam. I told him to stop calling me. He called back and my husband got the call and told him he is going to be reported to the police if he calls again. He hung up and did not call back. I just received another call today from a number of 971-555-0129. It was just dead air with like a clicking noise I just hung up. The caller id shows V03050608190000. I believe these are calling card numbers which is why you can call them back, or report it as a harassment callers.
I just recieved a call from someone saying he was calling to say that my computer has been downloading spyware and other malicious software and could crash at any time. I asked for a supervisor and said how did you get my number and what is my name...and they actually knew both. I asked where they were located and they said headquarters in California.....caller ID said Washington. I said what do you want me to do? I said I would not do anything without proof of who they were.....I told the supervisor not to call my home again that I would report them to the Better Business Bureau and to the Local Police Dept.......She said Merry Christmas and hung up...Both had very thick accents. She told me to turn on my computer and I said NO....I was afraid they were hackers and scared they would send me a vkrus. Weird.
