They have called several times today. Gave the guy a piece of my mind. All he did was laugh during the entire conversation & then call names such as idiot, moron, asshole, etc. He told me he has his job because people are idiots. He then told me he'd stop calling me if I gave him $1,000. He's a waste. Hope the elderly won't get fooled by such scum. Complaints to the treasury & the FCC have been made. Hope they catch these jerks.
Called claiming to be the IRS . They will send Federal Marshalls to pick me up if I don't cooperate. I said I couldn't understand them and they said "when the Marshall gets there You will understand Idiot", I laughed and hung up..
Just got the end of this call being on a recording saying the IRS is suing me - On the Call ID it is Seafirst Bank - Scared me to death - I am 81 but do know the IRS would not make a call like this - SCAM - Can't these people be caught by someone for this?
Said they were irs and we were fixing to be sued by irs & we need to call immediately!!
Called, said his name was Alex Cooper with the IRS investigation department and that I had underpaid my taxes between 2009 and 2014 in the amount of 5124.00 and had to pay at least $500 now. He knew my name, my address, my birthday, AND my husbands name (I didn't take his name). He said if I disconnected an arrest warrant would be sent out. I said I had to call my husband and that I needed to get off the phone and he said I had five minutes. I called him and asked him to look it up and what was going on...they called back and it rang as "Emergency Services 911" on my android phone. I answered and he said I had to pay now or he was going to issue the warrant and I wasn't allowed to leave my house because I'd be arrested in 45 minutes. I asked what his address was and when he asked why I told him it was so I could send a check. He said I can only pay money over the phone and then I asked what his address was again and when he asked why I said it was so I could call the police on them. CLICK - gone and the spoofed number no longer worked. My husband got through before that and asked for their address and they swore at him. LOL
