Criminal scammers.

Received a "sponsor confirmation" letter from "Americans for Police and Trooper Safety", thanking me for a $20 pledge that I had supposedly agreed to over the phone. I never made any such pledge or indeed answered any such phone call, but the letter listed a date and time in the fine print when they alleged this "conversation" to have taken place. So I checked my Call ID history. It was this number.

As for the organization in question, a quick Internet search revealed them to be very shady indeed. Thankfully they couldn't get my so-called "pledge" unless I sent it in the mail. If you got a letter like I did: no, you didn't forget, they're just trying to weasel your money out of you.

Scammer. Identified as the Fund Raising Center. Unsolicited call.
