Much like everyone else here, it is a complete scam, following through with the call, they have no actual information about your company or your licenses which you, yourself have not Given them, a Legitimate SAM audit would be able to provide you, without any additional information from you or your company, an accurate count of all licenses registered to your company in the SAM / Volume Licensing database. You should NEVER give any information to calls like this without the caller verifying your information to you. They will attempt to provide you with a "Customer number", this is NOT your ID in the volume licensing center and they will attempt to passive aggressively force you to give up information. If they are not able to give you the information you see in your licensing portal. Hang up and report them Immediately to Microsoft using this site - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/concern/scam and it is always recommended to file a report with Law enforcement.
