Just got several calls from the us. Treasury department..trying to convince me that you need a government registry card for $230.00, I could purchase this card at western union. The card is a netspend card! The callers name it's Sam Smith..the# he gives you is 315/951/0165, then a Robert Harrison from the U.S.government grants dept. ID# ns102 tells me that I have to register for a government registry card..for $230.00 for the money transfer from N.Y.to Washington state! Really, I send and receive money from N.Y.all the time! $5/&12 at the most, I told him, then he got really rude, saying that, I don't know what I am talking about! There is a different registry I have to sign up for. So I looked on line, for free! It's a government registry for government officials. I called back Mr.Harrison, and told him I registered on line, he wasn't happy with me! You can not do that, he said, then started saying, YOU Can't afford it, to get you money? I laughed and said, I am on the other line with th FTC. He didn't know what that was! I said busted! He hung up on me.

Indian lady called me and said I had randomly been selected to receive 8K. I am not an idiot so asked why the government was going to give me free money, she hung up on me. :/

Caller was Cameron. Made very aggressive sexual comments and told me he'd call me back every day when i told him to remove me from the call list.

I got the same phone call from a guy that could barely speak english... after making him repeat his spiel twice i told him that I wasn't interested and he cussed me out "you Mother F*#ker, B*$ch" were his words of choice LOL... I couldn't help but laugh about it

They are getting very agressive. I chuckled at my 6 month old puppy just as I was answering the phone and this guy yelled at me. His words were: Why you (sic) laughing at me? You think I am scam call? I am giving you money and you laugh. End of quote because I hung up. This is a scammer for sure!

It's a scam because just happened to me last week i lost $200 ..i thought it was true the number they use is 360 214 3599 just a SCAM dont believe them

This is a SCAM they call me as we'll stating that they are the US Treasury Department the background was loud and they can barely speak English and talking about my name was randomly selected because good background and other this off top it sounded fishy and they really lost me with the 200 dollars deposit to get free money doesn't make any scene YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR FREE GRANTS ITS AS SCAM!!!!!!

Said I was given a free money and when I said I don't believe this coz nothing is free , they then hung up. Was lots of back ground noises. And the woman spoke English with a Japanies accent.

they said I was selected in December because I had no criminal record that 1500 people from my town were selected to receive $8000.00 that I did not have to pay back from the federal government. they knew my address as well. The girl could barely speak English. they told me to call 360-214-3599

this is a scam, I have been called from this number before. remember that the federal government does not call you. they try to get you and threat you... report this to federal trade bureau as id theft, you can file a police report, however since no id was taken they may or may not take a report from youl I believe that to block out this number you pound 77 and the number.

They have been calling from this number and some that show up as a bunch of 0's. I have emailed the Federal Grants Fraud department about this, but apparently it doesn't matter I just need to be diligent about giving out information or contact someone else if I feel my identity has been compromised.
I get a minimum of 6 calls a day from these random numbers, I have asked numerous times to be removed from their list. I explained that I work for a college and I know how grants work and grants do not require a processing fee.
No luck still getting them calling me harassing me nonstop. Any advice on how to end this madness?
