claims IRS filing a lawsuit- appears to be a scam - beware

very rude and push about being from the IRS and wanting $7900.00 or you would be arrested and go to prison. Don't talk to them. very upsetting

I was called by this # 206 823-3365.
Once it was on my message machine, saying the IRS has filed a lawsuit against us.
They called again, this morning and I answered, the same recorded message at 6:25 AM.

Same IRS 'final warning' phishing message. Two calls about a week apart, second one came at 6:15am.

why don't the IRS and Police look into this number and track it and arrest them.

Said they were the IRS...Internal Revenue Services...note the "s" on the end of word Services. Claimed IRS was filing a suit against me and to immediately call them at their "departmental" phone number.

Received call on 6/9/16 from man claiming to be Officer J. Smith from the IRS/ Department of Justice. He informed me that a warrant was out for my arrest and that armed police officers were on their way to arrest me for 5 years of tax evasion. He then stated that if I did not pay them $5,060.00 on the spot, in addition to my arrest, my home and bank accounts will be seized and I will need a lawyer ASAP. He then said should I pay him the money he will try to call off the arrest and none of my assets would be touched. I was a victim of identity theft in May and wasn't really in the mood for another scam. He was verbally abusive and provided me a fake police id number. I told this stupid scam artist that after hearing his entire tirade that the only thing he got right was that an arrest was going to be made but it was going to be his own. He then proceeded to tell me to go "F" myself and hung up. My caller ID captured his phone number and city of origin. The real IRS and police were contacted. Should anybody receive a similar call from 206-823-3365, it originates from Bainbridge Island, Washington. You can actually hear the "boiler room" conversation in the background. FYI, The real IRS will never call and demand money and threaten criminal prosecution over the phone. In the event of real back taxes owed, there would be months if not years of written correspondence prior to any action. Stay away from this jerk.

Fake IRS scam call

I received two calls..one I answered to this recorder stating that this was the final notice of the IRS and I just hung up. Later I received another call and didn't answer ... they left a message same scam. I don't understand why doesn't authorities find out who is the owner of this phone number and arrest them? It is coming to a point who wants a phone with all these annoying calls.

Automated caller claiming to be IRS stating a lawsuit will be filed against me, and that I should call a number back,,,,uhh nope thanks your going on my blocked caller list!!!

Recorded message saying the IRS has filed a lawsuit and to call the number. SCAM.

I just received the same message. I called the number back. A guy with a heavy accent tried to get me to verify my name and address. I told them no and who are they calling from. The phone went silent. Then the guy asked the sarme question. I just hung up the phone

Have repeated calls from this number claiming a lawsuit against me by IRS and asking to call back. This was nameless recorded message.

This number left a voicemail claiming that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. Same for my husband
