I refer to Sheriff's office
206-823-3813 calling my 84 year old mother and claiming to be IRS. Threatening to arrest her if she doesn't call back.
Robo-call informing me the IRS was suing me and provided a phone number to call if I wanted to "void the arrest warrant" they'd put out on me. I hung up. The IRS doesn't work that way. Arrest warrants don't work that way. Clearly a scam.
A female voice left a hurried message about how urgent it was to call this number. no mention of IRS or who it was calling. Fortunately my father (86) saved the message and did not answer or reply. These types of numbers should be able to be permanently shut down when they are reported so many times. Technology is suposted to be our friend.I think a reverse robo call initiated by the govt to the affending number(s) would give them a taste of their own medicine. Blow up their phones and shut them down Kim Kardashian broke the internet take a lesson from her.
Clearly a scam. Robo-call that the IRS is suing you and for you to call back. Don't!
