Offering fake federal grants, claiming to be from Washington D.C.... my "randomly selected phone number" is apparent selected to get free money!

I burst out laughing and she hung up. possibly calling from Africa or India , but def a scam.

I keep getting phone calls from this number and I called them back. I was told it was a US government program about a student loan. I told them I did not have a student loan and didn't want one and asked them to take my number off their list. The person I spoke to said it would cost $100. I asked to speak to a supervisor an she said she was the supervisor. I again told her I didn't want them to call me again. She said she didn't care what I wanted. I told her I would report them a scam to the local police and hung up. I looked up the number prior to calling and here it was, a big old scam. The person had a heavy foreign accent.
