The guy that spoke with me was an idiot and couldn't even get his headset to work or he was fumbling around his desk. Horrible connection. I finally hung up and of course they kept redialing me. They have to get better people on this help desks.

Had a call from Amazon ask me to give my account information to them and I did not have them my account number and I hang up on them . Then they called a second time I did not answer and wait till it went to my voicemail I listened to the message and they say we are updating your phone number for secure your account to prevent a security breach please follow these steps step one please allow a text message so we can verify your account information step 2 please provide us with your existing phone number or new number. Step 3 we might have to fine your account so we can add your new number. I deleted the massage and blocked the number and text messages it sounds like they are trying to pretend to be a cop or a federal agency which they are impersonate a police officer or a federal agency.

They called and claimed to be Amazon. Told me an amount over $1,000 had been charged to my account. "Push a number" to contact them. I was alarmed at first, but hung up and got in touch with Amazon. It was NOT from them; they do not call their customers; I do not have that charge. Another scam to frighten people into calling them back. Who knows what information they would ask for. Sad that some people would walk into this trap. I have learned to initiate my own call to check.

This is actually Amazon's customer service call back number! Its not spam. If you have an issue and request a xall bacl from an Amazon CSR, this is one of the numbers that will call you to connect.

Yep - it’s Amazon customer service. Not saying that someone could not have spoofed it, but it’s always been legitimate Amazon in my experience.

They called and said my my account was on hold asked me to verify my billing information or my account will be suspended. I would never do that over the phone. Sounds fishy to me!

This is a legitimate Amazon.com customer service number. If you go to amazon.com and ask to speak to customer service, an automatic system calls the number you enter or the number in their files and puts you on hold until a customer service rep gets transferred to the line. It is possible that someone is putting the wrong number in at amazon.com either by mistake or on purpose.
