They called and asked me to verify a credit card AmEx.....I have never had nor ever will have an AmEx card. Sounded like an Indian call center....

They call and state they need $32.00 to upgrade prime and to just press 1. My prime is not up for renewal. I believe this is a scam, using Amazon's legitimate phone number.

This is NOT a scam caller! It's Amazon.com Customer Service trying to help you. I recommend answering if you have a product issue you're trying to resolve. I had a defective HP printer and couldn't get in touch with ANYONE at HP without wading through and almost endless recording tree, then end up speaking with someone in Mumbai who can only read from a script and doesn't understand English. Amazon's rep took a lot of time helping me and now I'm getting a new printer. HP Customer Service is totally useless. Thank you Amazon!!!

This number was listed as from Washington. I dont know anyone in Wash so I didnt answer. They rang 9 or 10 times but left no message. I did not ask Amazon to call me.

Bona fide call.This is a LEGITIMATE call from Amazon customer service. It is one of the numbers they use to call you when you use the phone option to call them about an issue.

it was a recording stating issue with Amazon Prime on our card. We don't have Amazon Prime.

Call was erroneously blocked. Amazon Customer Service was returning a call because of a delivery issue. I've white-listed the number but it would be best if Call Control / Everycaller had an easy way to report false-negatives. Thanks.
