I don't believe this was Amazon Customer Service. I received a phone call from an Amazon rep who inadvertently disconnected from our phone conversation, which I DID NOT initiate. He called right back and attempts to concluded our business. I had not placed an Amazon order. SPAM CALL.

Yes, but it was absolutely an Amazon rep who inadvertently disconnected from our phone conversation, which I initiated. He called right back and concluded our business. NOT A SPAM CALL.

THIS IS NOT SPAM! This is a legit Amazon Account CSR and validated personally when I had called in to Amazon and my call was disconnected inadvertently. The representative called back within a few seconds and completed our business.

This is a legitimate Amazon customer service number. So is 206-822-0865. When I requested a call back through the Amazon site, it was a customer service person calling from this number.

Just received a call saying they were from Amazon and stating they needed additional information regarding my order that was being shipped. I hung up after they asked me for my last name.

Left a message "This is Steven from Amazon Customer Service. Since you did not answer your phone I'm going to hang up this call and change your name." OK, "Steven" with heavy accent and horrible English. You crack me up!!

CRIMINALS. Yes, the same criminal gang spoofing Amazon's name and phone number. They don't leave any message on voice-mail. This criminal organization is fully supported by our greedy politicians, who share in the profits of crime. Nothing will ever be done in California to stop these criminal gangs from calling us. These criminals exist due to the support of our corrupt politicians and money hungry phone companies, both of which receive significant profits from the abuse by these criminal enterprises. It would be ever so simple for the phone company to identify all unused phone numbers by marking them as "invalid number" as part of the "caller i.d." program and/or the phone companies setting up their own reporting email systems (just like this one). But, the phone companies elect not to identify invalid numbers since they earn substantial income from these criminals calling us every day. We get to pay for these callers too, as we are usually billed for calls from these unwanted spam callers Such is our life in California. Criminals, politicians and the phone companies all share in the common interest of easy money.

I went to Amazon website and asked them to call me. And they called back within 30 seconds. It was a very helpful agent who incidentally was calling from Philippines. He said he would follow up next day. I received call next day from this number but have not answered as did not recognize it. It has called twice again this evening, never leaving message.

Some here say it's legit. I have reason to believe otherwise. Since when does Amazon phone at 4:40 am? I didn't answer as the phone showed it was from Washington. 13 minutes later, another call. I answered and the automated msg said it's returning my call (I didn't make one). It also said it's about my seller's account (I don't have one). By this time I missed the options and it put me in queue for the next available operator??? When they calll you, they are ready to talk to you. Worse yet, these calls are going to my cell phone!

This may have been a valid number at one time, but all of the calls I've received from it have been spoofed numbers/spam calls. Last call was a guy asking the voicemail recorder for it's name over and over.

This is a spam caller who has 'spoofed' Amazon's phone number. I contacted Amazon directly and they confirmed that these are spam calls. The FCC has been notified several times but it is easy to spoof numbers so it keeps happening. Don't answer unless you specifically asked Amazon to call you.

Not spam. When you need to contact customer support about an order, you put your phone number and on the Amazon website, and this number will call you back.

It is Amazon's customer service line. You access it from their website by requesting a call back. It is your (someones) computer calling them.

I just received 3 calls from this number within 10 minutes. The caller ID said it was Amazon.com Customer Service. When I answered they wanted to know my name and why did I call them. I did not call them and told them my name was none of their business.
