my wife just called me in a panic about this, especially since we just had a recent audit from the state. I love the internet, when I can just type in the number and see all your great comments about the bas##$%ds that are trying to scam others. Needless to say......we didn't reply.

Got a call today. Threatened me and my family. Said a sheriff would be at my house within 45 minutes to arrest me. They became very hostile despite my agreement to deal with the issue. I left my house for fear that someone was going to show up but not be the sherrif.

I received 3 calls in 7 hrs and 4 min. 1st recording said "that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me", 2nd one said "to call the Dept # regarding a case" and the 3rd one said "to get more information on this case file call" The recordings are different but the same # is always given.

Robocall that says to call them back right away, because the IRS is going to sue us. We happily pay all our taxes, and on time. But I imagine that plenty of folks receiving this BS know they've not, so they may be scared. But this is NOT the IRS, no matter how "serious" it might sound. Do not call them back, they will know your number. You think they already do, but they don't. The robocall program does. When you call back, they know it is a "live one" and it gets transferred to a "known active" list. No, I do not know this for sure, but I work communications, and this is the way it is usually done.

I received a robot call and stating I owe money to IRS. Since I knew this is a scam I called back and sure enjoyed F***ing with them.

When I answered, a recording said they were from the IRS and we are being sued!!! Also, I should call back immediately. So, guess I would classify this as a scam!!!!
