Offered to lower rate on my credit cards

I was told that they wanted to reduce my interest rate on my credit card and they tried to obtain information to do so. It was a man of Indian decent and he tried to tell me that if I didn't give him my information now; I would not be able to reduce my interest rate.

Claimed to be from "your credit card company" to talk to me about lowering my rates on "your current credit card" and warned me that "your eligibility is about to expire" Wanted my actual credit card number! Did not speak to them not gave any information.
