Recorded message said I qualified for a lower credit card interest rate because of Federal Reserve action. Pressed "1" to speak to a representative and asked for specifics on Fed action. Representative said "thank you" then hung up on me. I believe they were trying to deceive me because I don't think there was any recent Fed action that would make me eligible for a lower credit card rate. They should not be allowed to call people and lie to them then hang up on them when they ask questions.

They called me. Pre-recorded message said, "Lower your interest rate on your current credit card. Stay on the line and press 1 to talk with an operator." Did not specify my company name. I stayed on, pressed #1 and got an operator. As soon as he said his spiel, I said, "what company is this?" And he promptly hung up! I think they are spamming & phishing!

I called back and it offered the chance to remove myself from the 'subscription service, if I entered my phone number. I did enter it. We will see if that ends the calls.

To reduce my credit card rates. I did not get a chance to tell them not to call me again as they hung up immediately after I asked them why they called since I do not own a credit card.
