I just got a call as well and he was asking for my social security number and said if I didn't give it to him he would block my social security number and report it as fraudulent activity. He also said he would freeze my bank account. I laughed and told him I would report the phone number to the police and advise him to not call my phone again lmao

This is definitely a scam. You get a robo voicemail stating that there's a case with the IRS against your SSN. When I called them back, I got the voicemail of some Indian sounding guy. When I called later, I got some busy call center and they claimed to be the Social Security Administration.
