Reward offer
Called with a promotional offer for "Marriott rewards" member. Well I don't have one of them, and so I hit 0. A man with a very heavy spanish accent immediately wanted personal information. I replied with FOAD, he said "what?" FOAD again I replied, and then he told me in Spanish to f*** my mother, then hung up. Pretty funny if ya ask me.
Received a call from that number at 5:49 am this morning and did not answer. I never take calls from numbers I don't know as I feel if its important they will leave a message.
They called again - this time they claimed to be Marriott and that "since I was such a valued customer I qualified for a special vacation package". You then get transferred to a scam travel agency operating out of Mexico. These are nothing but scam artists who keep making false claims, posing as Marriott, Travelocity, Trip Advisor, etc. and they attempt to sell you packages at a greatly inflated price as most of them are comp stays for listening to timeshare sales pitches.
They usually use caller ID spoofers and pick a number which is used so much the person has to disconnect their cell phone and change their number.
Scumbag robocallers.
