this is definitely chase collection's center, i called the normal chase number to report the fraud but i apparently didn't press "authorize payment" and thought that i did so my payment did not go through and instead of notifying me it was sent to collections. you get charged late fees and interest so i argued that i had no idea it was late and was never notified and they were removed. you don't have to deal with the debt collectors that call, just call chase up and figure out why they're calling.

The number is from Chase Bank Collections in San Antonio, TX

If you do owe money, but want to stop ALL telephone collection calls from them, write a letter beginning with the following:

"This is my formal notice to you under 15 U.S.C. Section 1692c(c) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to cease all further communications with me except for the reasons specifically set forth in the federal law." This language legally obligates them to stop calling you.

Include your account number, full name on the account, and last 4-digits of your SSN somewhere in the letter.

FAX the letter to Chase at 888-643-9628. This is the fax number that is designated by them for all cease and desist requests.

MAIL a follow-up copy to Chase Bank, Correspondence Department, P.O. Box 15298, Wilmington Delaware, 19850-5298.

Keep a copy for your records.

Called my cell twice this morning. Didn't leave a message I called back recording claiming to be Chase asking me to entire my card number, I hung up. Called the number on the back of my card as I am not late or over my limit, they said to disregard they never placed a call to me. SCAM do not give them ANY information.
