If you get a call offering you a low interest credit card, savings on your energy cost, a vacation or anything that sounds too good to be true, and the recording asks you to press a number for the offer then take note of my next sentence. The call is more than likely coming from a skip tracer or debt collector hoping to have you verify enough information so they can start harassing you. It is an illegal technique being used by the low life scum who buy old uncollectable debt for pennies on the dollar and then try to bully someone into paying with illegal threats in direct violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act. Even when they have the wrong number, they will call the last known number of someone relentlessly. There is a special place in hell for these dirtbags,
