Called looking for our business owner (asked for him by first name). The guy wasn't rude, but they phone call was still annoying. I placed him on hold and googled "Fordham financ" (all that showed up on the caller ID). It seems there is a school or something with a very similar name so I thought it might be a legit call. Added "212-" to the search query and found out they're a financial management company. No thanks. I took the guy off hold, explained that my boss was unavailable, asked if he wanted voicemail. The guy politely declined and told me he would try again another time.

While these types of calls are super annoying, I'll give props to the guy for being nice/polite without being sleazy or salesperson-y.
