Scam call. Called after I listed a home for sale by owner on Zillow. They said they needed verification before listing even though by listing was already listed. Had a hard time understanding what they were saying. poor English. Scammers.

My parents received call from this number (Sunday). My parents are actually waiting for Zillow to call for FSBO verification. I've had to do this in the past with my property and two properties I listed for my parents. No problems before. No problems understanding person calling. No problems using my phone number for verification when listing my parents homes and verifying property. Current property is my grandfathers and my father is power of attorney. I used my parents phone number as contact for verification. Person with very heavy accent called my dad from this number. He said he needed to talk to owner and had some questions and needed some numbers. My dad told him it was his fathers house and he was the power of attorney. He asked for my grandfathers phone number. My dad told him my grandfather was 90 years old, in a nursing home, and was unable to speak. He again insisted he needed my grandfather's phone number. After explaining the situation several times over and over, my dad finally told the guy to just hang up and my dad hung up. They called me and I informed them that this did not sound like a legitimate call. I asked for the number, looked it up, and found this site.

Received a call from 212-786-7849 and had to listen to it three times to understand the message. The male caller said he was from the Zillow Verification Office and need for someone to call within 72 hours. I did not call back after seeing many negative comments.

I just received a call from this number. I let it go to voicemail. Had to listen to it twice before I could understand half of what the person said. Glad I was smart enough to look up the number. It's sad the way everyone wants to steal nowadays.

Thanks for the verify on issue. I also posted a Zillow ad. Phishers apparently use anything to start a conversation and see how naïve American's are to steal our money. I had friends elder 80 year old parent who was taken for $5,000 by a super-obvious "Nigerian" scam. They kept the rough Nigerian Zerox-copy of their money claim that they said they could get IF kept secret and send the $5,000. Elders are most vulnerable but anyone could be scammed imo.

Called to verify zillow listing. They wouldn't give me an 800#. I went online and saw it was a phishing scheme. So I contacted zillow to make sure since they said they sometimes require a verification. Be aware and double check.

Called said they were from Zillow. Yes I did a make me move thing. But if this is real. Too bad for them I will just list it else where. I do not answer my phone. This is the most retarded way to supposedly verify your listing. To me an many others this will just be another scam call. Zillow drop this stupid verification crap. No your not improving anything.
