Yes. Same as everyone else. Except mine was directed to Stagehand needed. Last one i received was. Having courier problems cant get you your cheque do u have a printer we will send you an e transfer you copy it and take it to your bank
I had a similar experience. I received a text message like this:
"I'm James affiliate producer for Mandarin Films, got your contact on tourready, its a pleasure to inform you about an upcoming short film project titled (old Town New Drama) Start date: 09-20-21 to 9-25-21, pay is $4,000 we are in need of lighting Technician kindly reply with your job title and your interest/resume at jamesdave12000@gmail.com for more consideration thank you."
So I did email him and got this within 3 hours:
"Hello _____, hope this finds you well? Thanks for the confirmation of your availability. You'll be a good fit for the project we have coming up. You have been invited to be the Lighting Technician of a commercial production that will be held on the weekdays of 09-20-21 to 09-25-21 in Hollywood, California. This commercial is for our feature movie, titled “Old Town New Drama”. We are seeking the services of a Lighting Technician to help in the movement and set up of various pieces of lighting equipment for separation of light and shadow or contrast, depth of field or visual effects. And I hope that you will be willing to travel as the company will be covering all expenses (transportation, accommodation and feeding). You will work closely with me and other crew throughout the production process.
About Me:
I'm an affiliate producer for Mandarin Films. I Write, Shoot, Edit, Repeat, Motion Picture Producer, Video Editor, Videographer, Video Artist, Interactive Designer & Illustrator. I also specialize in landscape and night-sky photography, motion-controlled time-lapse, and creative dSLR film-making. I also hold private and group workshops and classes, as I love to teach other people how to achieve their creative photographic vision.
I want you to know that this is not a full time position or a part-time to full time position but a freelance position with us. After you have successfully done well, we'll be seeking your services from time to time when future productions present itself.
Responsibilities basically would be:
* Set up lighting equipment.
* Ensure all lighting equipment is in working order and carry out tests.
* Load automated colour change systems.
* Assemble all the lighting and filter equipment needed.
* Position and plot lighting
* Be obedient and diligent.
During the production you’ll be booked in a hotel which is about 2 blocks away from the studio so transporting yourself to the studio shouldn’t be a problem. The pay is $4,000 for a week you’ll be working for us. Both travel/hotel expenses will be covered by the company. Work hours will be from 9am to 2pm daily.

Of course, I would like the money. However this whole thing seem pretty suspicious. 1) the pay is really high for a job like this. 2) A technician job would only be hired from the local union unless they are out side of the union. 3) When I googled the guy everycaller was the for thing I got. 4) I could not find a reliable webpage for Mandarin films. The only thing I could find was a chinese film company.
So my question is, has anyone actually filled out their request and gotten a gig? And more importantly did you get paid? Is this a scam?

This is mine after he contacted me to be an editor and I had to tell him that I only do Storyboards.

• visualising scenes from the camera viewpoint, plotting character positions, angles, and other elements in each frame.
