Called, I did my usual answer+mute routine I do for unsolicited calls, so that they have to speak up first before I acknowledge the line has been answered by a human being.
I heard a call center in the background, and they hung up after a few seconds.
If the previous comment is accurate then the caller would be Tiger Direct, which I ordered from not too long ago. I didn't sign up for unsolicited interruptions during the business day in the process, though, so this is really not a smart business practice at all on their part.
I received 14 calls in a row from this number this morning from 7:30 am to 8:15 am. I googled the number and could not find any spam reports about it. Just that it is a land line and no spam reports have been issued. Afraid that someone was trying to reach me in an emergency about one of my kids, I finally called the number back and a female immediately answered saying "Sales". I said, what are you selling? She became flustered for a second then said to me, "Is this _____" Saying my name. I refused to answer instead asking again who this was, why are they calling me every 5 minutes especially this early in the morning and what are they selling. She kept trying to get me to confirm my name which I never did. She finally said something like "Tiger Company" selling computer parts. I told her I was going to report them to the Government Do Not Call List and never to call me again. I hung up and blocked their number on my phone.
