Heavily accented indian guy offering support for my computer that i should be "informed" about. I new more about computers 30 years ago then this guy does today. Total scammer.

This guy called me asking to fix my computer and then cursed me off cause he didn't believe I was on my computer.

Those folks call me regularly. As soon as I realize that some kind soul in India wants to help me fix my Windows system out of the goodness of his heart :) I immediately interrupt the caller and tell them to take off my tel. number from their list--not that those kind souls ever paid any attention to it.

I fear that some old folks will fall for this scam. So far, I have not seen any advice on how one can report those creepy creeps.

If someone could share with me how I could automatically BLOCK those callers without being charged, I would be grateful.

The number was 213-525-6872 and the scam was the same as that of the others: He told me he was from Windows and needed to talk to me. Oh, yeah. And I have a bridge for sale, too.

just got a call from the same company. the phone number appears to be from California, but the caller had an Indian accent. Told me I had problems with my Windows, even though I don't have one. I asked him a few questions and realized it was a scam. Someone should look into this and block them, they are up no good.

Scam they said they were getting errors and they were from windows

Just got a call from them and they said the were from the Windows Team and there was a problem with my computer because it was not getting updates correctly. played with them for a while and then told them I was a sysadmin and could fix my own computer.

Called foreign accent said calling from technical department for my computer,I said address me please as Dr.blank blank because I knew bullshit. Of course hung up.I called bk satellite phone

Just had a call from this number. My phone showed the call was from Algeria. I didn't answer. How do we stop these calls from happening (apart from blocking them after they have called)?

I just got a call from this number, I let my answering machine answer it, and while my machine was talking, I noticed my internet service quit working. As soon as the phone hung up my internet came back on. Hopefully I didn't get hacked in that few seconds. Phone number was 213-525-6872

Do not entertain a conversation with these idiots! They will attempt to gain control of your PC remotely and begin to steal any and all your personal information stored therein. Either that or they will remotely install a virus and then try to sell you a nonexistent "fix" for a fee on your credit card. Scam scam scam!!! Law enforcement is on to them and will hopefully put an end to them soon.

Received a call from a male with asian accent "about my Windows computer". I stopped him at that point and asked for his number so I could call him back. He gave me the following information: His name was Allen Chourisin (he said he was Indian) His phone number was 888-882-7304. The caller-id said 213-525-6872. His company was Sysfix. I tried to verify the info he gave but was unable to, so I did not return his call.

Yes, some guy, with what may have been an asian accent, called...gave me his name (?) and asked if he were speaking to me (He called my name). He then began explaining why he called saying that it had some to do with servicing my computer. I made no request for service and, just happened to have a call come in. I expressed the fact that I had to take the incoming call and ended the call with him. When I was done with my new call I plugged the 213 -- ---- number into Google and this cite came up. I will block this number.
