They called, claiming to be Political Opinions of America (no such org exists) and said I'd get a cruise to the Bahamas for answering a few survey questions. I answered 4 or 5 very stupid general questions and then they connected me to "Carribbean Cruise Lines" where a man who said he was Joseph Peterson gave me his corporate ID (UA567) and told me I had won a free cruise to Grand Bahama Island which could be claimed any time in the next 6 months. He went into a lot of detail about the cruise and finally, after about 10 minutes, wanted a credit card number for some bogus international tax. I said I wasn't going to give out my cc on the phone and he said good-bye. Meanwhile, he sent me the Carribbean Cruise Lines website and promised a user name and password to get forms to fill out (didn't get the UN/PW). Total phone time, about 15 minutes.
