Left a message today supposedly from the US Treasury and said I could go to jail if I don't call them right back. As someone already commented, the US Govt doesn't call, they send a letter.

I got a call from them saying my sister was going to jail. I said she doesnt live here and they hung up. Called them back from a different phone and they yelled at me and said they were calling the cops to arrest me and arrest my sister. Then they proceeded to yell at me when i didnt give them any info. Not that dumb. Stupid scammers

Just got the call too.....2012 taxes, warrant, marshals at my house in 45 minutes....is it against the law to use a pressurized boat horn in their ear next time they call?

Same as everyone else - asked her what my social security number -- didn't have it or claimed she (Sharon for the day I'm sure) and said she couldn't give it to me because of privacy law. I said - is this it? Made up a fake number and she said, yes. I'm still waiting on those US Marshalls, Sharon.

same as others.....indian female, claiming to be US Dept of Treasury, mentioning 2012 taxes and that there was a warrant for my arrest.

They called, left no message. I called back. The woman who answered the phone said United States treasury and sounded Indian and knew my first name. Said there is a warrant for my arrest because I did not pay my 2012 taxes. I told her she didn't even sound American and she hung up on me.

Received a threatening recorded message from the "US Treasury Department." Federal Government doesn't contact people in this manner, they use the good old US Mail. There wasn't a caller name, just that it came from Los Angeles, CA.
