Called said he was Alex and he was calling me because my social security number was being investigated. I asked for an address or fax number and he said he would have to call me back. I told him he could get the information right now. He put me on hold. Someone called Paul White answered. He started in with the same information. I asked if the call was in regard to a debt. he said no he was calling from the American Law Division and this was not in regard to any debt. I asked for an address. He gave me address of 11000 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 1700, Los Angeles CA. I googled the address- it's the FBI in LA. Called them and confirmed that this is a scam call. Agent advised me to file a report at www.ic3.gov.
