I feel bad for the elderly if they were to get one of these threatening calls! They say they do have warrants for your arrest and a sherif will be at your home to arrest you for fraud-
When I called the # a man answered "IRS" he wanted my name which I refused to give him and he gave me a hard time-I hung up on him-Like I said I feel so bad for the elderly that they would probably scam them out of thousands of dollars by scaring the hell out of them! There must be a way to stop them!

Got a call from Anthony Clark today. Total Scam. Had me confused and actually worried for a few minutes. Totally ignore.

Got a Call from same number stating they were the IRS and I committed fraud on my 2007 returns. I called and talked to Agent Becker and then Agent Eddie Foster. Both had foreign accents. Since I am retired LE, I had them going in circles. threatened to have me arrested and freeze my accounts by midnight. More worried about how I talked to them instead of the charges. No paperwork just warrant served by the agency I worked for. What a laugh.

Received a similar call from somebody who said his name was Anthony Clark, but his accent was clearly not of US origin. Every time I asked for a supervisor he would conference me in with another individual calling back. We want back and forth and he eventually disconnected me. He called me back threatened to kill me next. Very disturbed individuals.

Beginning part of voicemail cut off. Message says that I need to call this number to talk with a Federal Agent and receive my case #. I laughed, but this is probably a phishing attempt.

They are issuing a warrant for my arrest due to a problem with my tax return. Obvious SCAM!

Robocall said he was calling from Dept of Treasury, IRS. Gave name of Joseph Litt. Said trying to collect a debt and avoid legal problems. I called back multiple times, each time they answered as Department of Treasury. Said they were looking for a "Joseph Hamblin", a name that is often falsely associated with my phone number. He yelled at me saying that he was calling from the IRS and was going to serve a warrant for my arrest because I wasn't responding to his previous attempts at contact. Very harrasing manner. I recalled multiple times, each time one of 2 people (male and female) answered. They finally started to recognize my voice and would hang up on me. Then the number went to a message of "No longer in service".

Called three times in 4 minutes and left duplicate message. Claimed to be Dennis Gray (Ray) from US Treasury wanted to advise this was the second attempt to contact me regarding a federal violation. Wanted me to call so they "can help us to help you". Called number, Emma Riley answered and identified as federal employee #117082, repeated this info when requested. Claimed this was regarding incomplete filing of my 2010 federal taxes. Stated "I'm sure that you filed your taxes but they were incomplete." No need to state "I'm sure" as they could only know it was 'incomplete' if they received the filing. Clearly a scam.

Called my number four times 10-15-15 within an hour. Left identical recorded messages on all calls after the first. Gave name as Dennis Ray and said ignoring call will be regarded as an attempt to avoid court appearance for a federal criminal offence. Bloody hell mate! I can see where this scam could result in serious emotional harm and distress to vulnerable populations. For this reason I would hope that law enforcement follow up on this scam.

I received my " last notice" before the warrant would be issued. When I asked to speak to the supervisor I was put on hold and later told that she was the only one that could help me. They claimed my 2010 taxes were filed incorrectly and an amount of $6,900 was still due. Her name was Julia James but her accent was clearly not of US origin. I told her I was calling my local sherrif's depart (which I did) and she hung up. Local police said this is a very active scam going around right now. IGNORE IT!!

They called us to say that the IRS wants to talk to us about a violation. We had also received emails with similar warnings. When we replied that what they are doing is illegal, they immediately hung up.
