Just got a call from a Mike Robinson. When I asked who he worked for and what he was calling about, he hung up. When I dialed back it was busy. SCAM

Got call from Mike Robinson, Agent of IRS, requesting I call back before the end of day to learn more about the case. When I called back to this number on my caller ID, the same "agent" answered. I asked what company he worked for, he said, "the IRS", When I asked what IRS stood for, he immediately hung up.............apparently they don't even know what the initials stand for.....stuuuupid! Another call before noon from Agent Hoffman, left message on my answering machine which I promptly recorded....both calls were reported to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.

Just got the call from jack Hoffman, INS agent. Left a voice message the was very garbled. I am on the DO Not Call registry and I have private phone number. I think next time I will tell him he is be recorded and I work for Homeland Security.

This scam is relentless! They have called me multiple times a day. I answered the first time because it was a Dallas number, but haven't answered until the SECOND call this morning in a 1 hour period. Before he could talk I told him to stop calling or I'm calling the police. This is the third day in a row of these calls, if I get one again, I'm seriously calling the police.

People, my daughter and my niece received the same call, where is this man getting our numbers from, sounds like the IRS system was hacked or the online provider as I did my daughters taxes and my niece taxes via tax usa.com

Called my cell phone. He got angry with me for sayings this is a scam and told me this call was being recorded. Told him I'll call my attorney and hung up

I got the same phone call, and I google to have more info and I requested a letter for the amount of frauds going on by phone, and he said that it was the last advise for me to take action. I said that I do not have nothing to be worry about, so send me the letter certified, and I will take action after that.

Jack keeps leaving me choppy voicemail but tonight finally heard it clearly. Same story as rest.

Just received that call. Strong language accent do. I am reporting this crap.

Yes, I was also called... Same Hoffman office...warrant for arrest,,, it's tax evasion...scam! Be aware!!!

I received the call today but it was very hard to understand the message. I was able to hear "about your case" and "your problem" call back at 214-306-6063, which was repeated a couple of times...

Yep. for the last three days "officer Jed Hoffman " has been calling here saying he is an INS (not IRS) agent . He says something like someone in our residence is under federal investigation insinuating we will be deported. We aren't even illegal, but my roommate and I both have Spanish surnames. So he's probably hoping we are illegal and he is trying to scare us into sending him money or something. I never pick up the phone , but after three days he's getting really annoying.. Thick accent , very fake , bad scammer. But still at first made me really nervous the words 'you are under Federal investigation" is something you really don't want to hear on a telephone call! I think I am going to call the Dallas police dept. tomorrow if he calls again!

I like to call them back and prank them too. I've been blowing up their phones all morning. Good fun.

What kind of irs officer doesn't say the name of who they're looking for? Asswad.
