Some one from this number keeps call, a few times a day, they don't leave messages and sometimes just hangup when I do finally decide to answer so that I can tell them to stop callng me. If there is a way to block them, please advise

They do the same thing.. I dont answer tit.. but it gets very much a pain
I tried to call them back on my cell phone, but no answer. I called them on my land line, and they told me they were an auto finance company. They wanted either my account number (???), or my or my husband's social security number (I don't give that out if I have no idea who I'm talking to). I'm on hold right now waiting for a supervisor, because I want to know what's up. We did just buy a car with Carmax, but I don't think this is the auto finance company they used with us. Kinda rude when you talk to them, too.
Ok, guys... Finally got a supervisor. Their name is Santander Consumer USA (Everyone there has an accent from India... but I digress...). She explained to me that they were trying to complete a welcome call, and confirm information to get information mailed out to us about the car we recently purchased from Carmax - they're the finance company Carmax used with us. She was able to give me my account number using our names and home address, and also gave me a phone number to call to complete the Welcome Call, so no one will hassle me again. (How about training your people not to hang up on me when I answer, and to answer politely when I call back, hmmm???) If you want to call them to get to the bottom of your issue, call them at 888-222-4227, that's the number the supervisor gave me. Good luck!
