16 hours ago I wrote a report as one can see by "Anonymous". Caller ID shiws "NOT SAFE" and it is one of the FAUX DISNEY scam calls where if given your credit number they will max your credit card out in the guise of a "small handling fee for your faux resort offer.
This number is now taking over both my landline and cell phones with calls. BEWARE! This is NOT the real Disney. This is NOT a legit call, nor are their resort reservation/sales.
It is unusual that Faux Disney calls back spoofing (stealing) the same number for Caller ID but this now what these criminals are doing.
Received a call from a spoofed (stolen phone number). The caller ID read "NOT SAFE" the scam was another Faux Disney call that comes on many phone calls. Area code 216 is the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area.
There used to be a fumbling female robo call that says "Excuse me while I put my headphones on... spiel", now there is no bumbling but the same female robo voice saying she is Emily and that she has on record the recipient has stayed at their resort in the past and would like to give a new resort offer.
ALERT! This has been reported in the Cleveland local news and is a SCAM!
At the end of the scamming spiel an unpolite person comes on the line telling you there is a "small" fee to this and he needs to have your credit card to pay that small fee. If you do this, they take your credit card and MAX THE BALANCE OUT unknowing to the call recipient until they either find out by using the max out credit card or the statement comes!
DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS CALL! There are no Disney outlets here in the Cleveland area. The real Disney would have reason to spoof a call from any other phone number nor would their call come through as caller ID "NOT SAFE". Keep your financial and personal information away from this caller.
