Just got a call from this number to my cell phone with a Texas number. I don't know if it matters, but we live in AL now. I didn't answer the call.

Number called wanted to consolidate credit cards I don't have. I told lady to take me off call list. She told me to save my spiel she didn't want to hear it. And then she hung up on me.

I've heard of similar scams however until now did I potentially become a victim.
I didn't recognize the number yet chose to answer. The man didn't ask to speak with me by name which was the RED FLAG for me. He then asked if I "still" had credit card debt over $10,000 and offered to assist in reducing it by 50%! Finally I asked how he got my information and he just hung up on me.
Be cautiousness and use common sense so you won't become a victim.
