Caller identified himself as being from an electronics company (Toshiba?) and stated he was calling because "sometime last year" I had signed up to receive free promotional products and asked if I remembered. I told him no because I don't do that (even if I did I certainly would not have given them my cell number). He promptly hung up.
Claimed my phone number was selected from one of 80 plus boxes in these stores; and I could go to: 812 Kingston Hwy, Port Charlotte FL 33980. Further related after I asked more what it was about: That since I spent $80 or more at one of these stores, or online, the prize without any taxes or money from me was either: $200 cash; an all-expense vacation for 2; a 22-inch flat screen TV; or a Ford Escapade with a cash value of over $40,000. Kept repeating the prizes were from Sony.I kept repeating that it was not likely I filled any such card out as I believe these things are phony. There was a great deal of telemarketing calls in the background. The caller had a foreign accent.
