I once stayed on the line and got as far as them asking for my credit card number! I wouldn't give it to them as much as they tried to convince me otherwise.

"Mike Brooks" identified as "Senior Executive."

Got them to run a fake cc number 4 times, kept transposing numbers to get them to re-run it.

Gave card issuer as First Union Credit Union, and at the end of the call when they pointed out that I kept transposing numbers, I told them 'really? did you also happen to notice the first initials of the card issuer I gave you?' they hung up.

That was fun!

To Bob B.......Good for you! Maybe if people like you keep messing with these people, they will back off? Maybe not, but I agree it is fun to catch them in their scam so that they know you know it! I got a call from them today, just minutes ago. I did not answer right away but picked up on the 5th ring and then promptly hung up. By then the machine started to pick up.....but they did not leave a message....just hung up . If they call again I will answer and hang up again. I get lots of these calls, so I am familiar with their scam. thanks for sharing your story.

The message said "This call is your final notice concerning your credit card. Press 1 to speak to a representative now" I did that. A man came on the line and I asked him if this call was for an existing biz relationship. He said yes, for your Visa. I said no I don't have a Visa. Please take me off your calling list. He said "No I won't take you off the list you IDIOT" and he hung up on me. This number has called me several times. The only other time I have answered, the woman called me an explicit name and hung up when I asked to be removed from the list.
