This phone number is spoofed/stolen and is within a block of numbers deemed "Unsafe Number" by my Caller ID.
There is a confirmed & reported upon by the Cleveland, Ohio media.
The call starts with a female robo voice, that matches "Emily" in past scam calls, that tells the call recipient she sees there is an accumulation of points from previous resort stays... "can she tell you about it?"... and then goes on to say the call recipient won an amazing resort stay in Orlando/Disney. This is NOT the "real" Disney conglomerate! Disney would NOT use a spoofed/stolen phone number. There are NO Disney locations in the Greater Cleveland area, they just are not here.
According to the media reports, the Scam goes like this...
After the female robo voice is done, the call recipient is told to wait for this amazing resort "win". A live man comes on the phone to further convince the call recipient and that it all can yours for a very small "handling fee".
He is wanting the call recipient's credit or debit card number to pay for this small handling fee. People have fallen for this scam giving this information out... DO NOT fall this!
What happens as soon as the card number(s) are given, the credit card is maxed out or your bank account empties before you hang up the phone.
He has just stolen one's identity and one's personal financial information!
According to the Ohio Atty General's office, there are so many of these call happening that their office can't keep up to track these calls and criminals down.
This IS a scam, protect yourself... keep your information to yourself.
